Welcome to the NPC Red Stick Classic Bodybuilding, Figure, Bikini & Physique  Competition website.  In 2007, Red Stick Classic sponsored the first NPC Bodybuilding show held in Baton Rouge in over 19 years.  The last 5 years have been a huge success and we look forward to the 6th annual 2012 competition on Saturday, June 16th.  Red Stick Classic is a stepping stone to the National level competitions.  We have had several competitors continue on to Nationals and do very well.  To name a few...Kimberle Trowbridge, Estelle Hunter, Michelle Hanson, Collette Barbera, Jenee Leger, Adam King, Caleb Blanchard, Chris Mercadel and James Sledge.  Red Stick Class is known for not only it's excellent top notch competitors, but also for the fun the spectators have at the show.  The lobby is always a fun place to mingle and meet other people with the same fitness interest.  This year's competition should be the best yet.  Last year's show had over 100 competitors and a full house of attendees.  Your support and dedication has made it possible for the Red Stick Classic to become an annual event.  We hope to see you there this year.

Red Stick Classic Promoters

2011 was the first year the Red Stick Classic had a Men's physique division and it was a huge success with 17 competitors.  In 2012 Red Stick Classic's Men's Physique division will include a Class A, Class B and Over 35. Chris Mercadel won the 2011 Men's Physique division and went on to place 9th out of 50 competitors in Class B at the 2011 NPC Nationals.

Congratulations to the 2011 Red Stick Classic Bikini winner Collette Barbera. She continued on to win her class at Greater Gulf States, 2nd place at NPC Louisiana and 3rd Place at the 2011 NPC Nationals in Class D.  Collette plans to compete at the NPC USA's and Nationals in 2012 in hopes of earning her IFBB Pro Card.  Find out more about Collette on her facebook fan page.

Congratulations to our Men’s Policemen, Firemen and Armed Forces winner Victor Sullivan, a firefighter at the Denham Springs Fire Department.  He was also the Juniors Lightweight Division winner and the Overall Juniors Champion.  Victor won this division in 2010 as well as Novice Lightweight division and was Overall Novice Champion.

2010 Red Stick Classic Overall Bikini Winner Michelle Hanson as been very succesful since the show.Michelle went on to place 6th in the Bikini Division at the 2010 NPC USA's and 3rd at the 2010 NPC Junior USA's.  She signed a 2011 contract with www.bodybuilding.com.  Learn more about Michelle Hanson at www.michellereneahanson.com. 

 

  2010 Red Stick Classic Overall Figure Winner, Estelle Hunter has since competed in the 2010 & 2011 NPC Nationals. She placed 5th at 2011 NPC Team Universe. 

2009 Red Stick Classic Overall Figure Winner, Kimberle Trowbridge earned her I.F.B.B. Class A Figure Pro Card at the 2009 NPC Nationals in Miami. Kimberle's 1st show was the 2009 Red Stick Classic.

We want to congratulate James Sledge, 2011 Red Stick Classic Open Light-Weight Bodybuilding Champion. After a ten year layoff from the NPC stage he made his come back in 2011.  James was Overall Winner at Camellia Championships and the Open Welter-Weight winner at the Greater Gulf States. He placed 5th at NPC Nationals in the Welter-Weight division.  James will be taking off in 2012 and plans to compete at the 2013 NPC USA's and Nationals as a solid middle weight.  We wish him the best of luck.
